Well think about it. Raditz was said to be faster then the speed of light. And I'm sure that the Z fighters trained themselves in speed as much so they must've got faster.

Gotenks moved at a bare minimum of Mach 334, nowhere near the speed of light. For Gotenks to have been going at the speed of light, he'd need to go around the Earth 5 times in a fraction of a second. Since that can't be proven, it's a no-go.

We could do a little math here using the SEG multipliers (since using random ones would throw everything off). Assuming Goku in the Boo saga is a notch above Gohan, we could do this:

Base Goku: 3,500km/h
SSj Goku: 175,000km/h
SSj2 Goku: 350,000km/h
SSj3 Goku: 1,400,000km/h

That's all assuming Gohan was flying at total top speed and that Goku is just a notch faster. Let's assume Gotenks's SSj state is as strong as Goku's SSj3 state.

SSj Gotenks: 1,400,000km/h
SSj2 Gotenks: 2,800,000km/h
SSj3 Gotenks: 11,200,000km/h

Shin Boo: 11,200,000km/h
Shin Boo (Gotenks absorbed): 22,400,000km/h

Chou Gohan: 14,500,000km/h

Shin Boo (Gohan absorbed): 25,700,000km/h

SSj Vegetto: 75,600,000km/h

Light Speed: 1,080,000,000km/h

So as you can see, even SSj Vegetto isn't reaching light speed. He's 14x slower than it.

wow great maths guys :O and i do doubt they could go speed of light,it takes them a while just to get to the scene,and they did get stronger through out the series but in some aspects a bit weaker,a true saiyan is ruthless,but at the end they are all softies lol,they could go stronger and faster then they were shown in the series,they just restraint them self too much,to save their friends and not to hurt anyone,also goku likes a slow fight :P

That's Instantaneous Movement. It's instant. He's not actually moving from one place to another, he's basically dissolving in one place and appearing in another instantly.

Cause it takes a little more than 8 minutes for light to reach the Earth from the sun. Now, if Goku were a beam of light and was going to planets light years away, it should take him years.

No one. The only person I used to think was that fast was Vegeto but even he cannot have that huge a gap from Gotenks. Gotenks only came around 3% i think according to my calculations. Light still moves faster.
