Should he stay or should he go?

I am talking about Gordon Brown, our current Prime Minister in the UK and the Leader of the Labour Party.
Recently he has had a major rebellion on his hands and members of parliament in his cabinet have been resigninng left right and centre.

Women Members of Parliament have criticized him for being chauvinistic.

Con currently there has been a major investigation of MPs claiming expenses above and beyond what is deemed acceptable and a number of them were in the Labour Party. Does this also reflect on Gordon Brown not being able to run a tight ship as they say.

Well it's not the truth that matters in politics,
it's what people believes.. :edu:
And if the people believes that he can't 'run a tight ship'
then there ain't really much he can do about it.
Not by the sound of things at the moment.

I don't know how different politics are in the UK, but if the man can't lead his party, then his party simply needs to elect a new leader. Regardless of how capable he is of running the country, the party obviously can't keep operating with members resigning on a frequent basis. Then again, I'm not sure how easy it is to formally hold a mutiny, especially when we're talking about a party that's currently in power. I'd imagine it'd be much easier if they were in the opposition.

The position of Prime Minister in the United Kingdom is, if I'm not mistaken, not only the Head of the Government, but also the Minister for the Civil Service and Lord of the Treasury. So it is one of the highest governmental positions. And if there are a lot of people resigning due to Gordon Brown role as Prime Minister, then something is very amiss and needs to be throughly investigated asap. If he is indeed incompetent in fulfilling his role, then he either needs to abdicate from his position on his own or be impeached and forcibly removed.
