New to Naruto, first impressions

Ok I started watching Naruto from the start.

I have some first impressions I will post, but feel free to chalange my views, as they are based on first impressions, and may be different later.

Please put spoilers in tags.

Ok First, Its addictive, and I think about the plot.
Its definatly good enough to keep me watching 2 to 4 episodes a day.

On the down side, they keep repeating everything.
Not only do they repeat the last few miniuts of the previous episode at the begining of the next, but, they also repete short action sections frequently, sometimes more than once.
Does this continue throughout all the episodes?

well...as far as i remember,it repeat last few mins of last episodes only if they are important (or awesome :p )...and about repeating action scenes,it makes naruto more interesting to watch :awesome:

and i bet u will watch more than 6 episodes a day after 20 episodes :thumbs:...

It does continue unfortunately. If you read the manga however, there aren't any recaps which I assume you are talking about.

Yes, almost each episode starts with a long recap of he last, or simply the last few miniuts, then carries on.
And there are the ones in the middle of the episode.
Oh, well, Fast forward I guess

well I have sen about 80 now, and yes, sometines maybe up to 5 a day :D

Another thing I noticed is people are aging fast right now,
Narato alteady loks taller and different, Does that continue as quickly.
I feel its a bit too fast right now.

Well I haven't even start on Shippuden yet, so I think I can join this discussion :p

When I saw the first few eps I was a little sceptic that it seemed boring and all the rechaps annoyed me really bad. Also that some of the eps is/was made over 5 days..

Its alot better to watch on DVD I guess, I can watch a few at a time, so as to get past filler, and fast forward the recaps, and action replays.
lol, must admit, I make my own Action replays sometimes

me is addicted to Naruto again cant stop watching it im just at Naruto vs Sasuke in the original so after this im onto Shippuden

and naruto is more funnier than shippuden
but they are both AAWESOOME!

I specially hated when the 3rd hokage fought Orochiamru it took ages they repeated the whole thing like 8 times until he died that really was annoying.

well it was kinda a metaphor..But they did reapeated it very much time..it was like the blade is going in then out then in and every episode it got in than the next one it got out etc.
too bad he didn't finish orochimaru ..but if he did there wouldn't be more story XD

I'm almost done with the Naruto.. at ep 173 or something, and I'm really looking forward to start on Shippuden.. so far I heard it should be a lot better than the original one..

I dunno I stopped watching the anime after the fight of
naruto vs sasuke the second one with the 2 cursed mark sasuke
and then I just watched shippuden

Yes I got fed up of the repalys and dragging out of that, but I supose it wasnt as bad as freezer vs Goku.

It took an eternity for Orochimaru to kill the 3rd Hokage.. not that I wished it to happen, but they were just pushing it to the limit where I felt for skipping a few episodes o.O

i agree...its so addictive to watch...:thumbs:..and it really helps me to lessen the stress mode...
but actually, i stopped watching naruto i think in the middle part...i got bored in some of their missions..(sorry for that)
then i continue watching again when they are rescuing sasuke for being a container...

and then, when NAruto Shippuden started...i never stop watching and waiting for the next ep....

about the "REMINISCING of Scenes"...i think its normal to the ANIME industry:) especially in long term stories...really have those part in some of their episodes.honestly, its kinda annoying as if that episodes want you to take exams for that review...:hehee:.....

I have watched the anime and read the manga for quite long. The story is quite disappointing. A typical shonen story where the 'hero' saves the day. It is quite ok at the beginning, but it gets boring later on. AS HE ALWAYS WIN IN THE END!!!

Actualy that is a bit difficalt to deal with.
Yes they always win, but also they get stabbed 100 times and your sure there dead, but they never do die.

if you think about it, When Orochimaru fought the 3rd Hokage - the good didn't win

if your buying the DVD's from England like i do Ascended they become better as it goes on i noticed they'd play the opening song then repeat a short bit of the opening song again for no reason what so ever...

I'm up to series 6 on DVD and they've certainly improved it the first couple of seasons were put badly on DVD with things just pointlessly in there like i'd watch the ending credits of series 1 episodes and then the credits would come up again with Black background and typical scrolling credits... very weird fortunately they've improved this :)

also Series 2 and 5 are the highlights for me ascended Series 3 is good... 1 and 4 and obviously the fillers and the ok ones nothing special for me...

Shippuden certainly is a must watch it's alot better :thumbs:

haha, I noticed that, how mant intros did they need lol.

I think up to season & is avalable and 8 and 9 is comming to us in febuary.
Im already up to season 6, Im watching about 4 or 5 a day :D

not that much. I'd say that the first few of the manga was good, with the humour. But, when he become so strong, the story start to get boring. It ends up as a typical shounen story where the main character owns everyone. A typical the 'hero' saves the day after being bashed up kind of story.

It true though. In many aspects-the storyline-it can be a bit cliche but I still like it nonetheless. ^^ Interesting characters.
It's dragging on.

My first impression of Naruto wasn't too great. I was like what? lol. Mainly because I didn't know what was happening.

Well, I'll agree that it's quite the same over and over, but the fights are new from each time I think.

they repeat some parts because if you see it on the tv there's only 1 episode at a week or 2 i don't know that's because they repeat things so the people could know what happened and if you watch it on the internet than you get those repeats and that's anoying sometimes xD
and when i heard of naruto i thought it was stupid or something like that but i watched a few episodes and i just love it :D

truth is you could go stright to shuppiden once Sasuke and Naruto's fight is over in the Sasuke retreval arc since the rest of the series are fillers intil they get Shuppiden started there are 210 Naruto eps. in other words you won't miss anything very important

I'm about to start on Shippuuden.. I'm watching ep 197 right now, and they get some funny missions, but I don't think they are that important o.O
