As the article has you question, does the European Union having actual political power, making it a Federal Government for Europe, make it a continuation of the Nazi plans to unite Europe? It surely cannot be denied that the EU is trying to consolidate the European economies, but, if it does become a Federal country, the autonomy and national identity of the European countries might be lost. Basically, the European countries would become just like the States in the United States of America. Now, I am a Federalist, in that I believe that the States should have been united into the United States, because the States after gaining independence were culturally, politically, and economically essentially the same. There was nothing wrong with creating a Federal government stronger than the Articles of Confederation, because the peoples of America were very much alike all in history and dignity at the time.

I don't, however, hold the same beliefs for Europe, because the European people are much more different in culture, politics, and history to be considered under one political identity. A North American Union is, of course, being discussed in clandestine from the Canadian, American, and Mexican public, although I'm sure that, if such a thing were to be made public, a violent uprising will occur on this continent, which I'd fully and willingly support, but a European Union has already been established, but its course is still unclear in the weeks, years, decades, and more to come. How do you feel of the European Union, however? How much power do you believe it should have?
