Timeline [Part I]

All credit goes to Herms on MFG. ----- I've tried to sort the entries in this timeline out by source. This timeline isn’t intended as a guide to canonical events, but rather a list of all specific dates for events given in anything official (I am thinking of making a manga-only timeline though). Entries with no [ ] mark on them are dates based on the manga, ones with [A] are things taken from the TV anime filler, [M] indicates things from the movies, TV specials, or other specials, [D] indicates information from the daizenshuu and other databooks, [GT] marks things from, well, GT, and [O] marks DragonBall Online dates. [GT-H] marks events from GT that I assigned specific dates to back in my GT chronology thread on Daizenshuu EX (it's short for "GT-Herms", you see). In that thread, I decided that since there's lots of information in GT and the Perfect Files indicating the general time of year the events must happen, and also lots of info about something happening on one day, then something happening the day after that, etc, then it would make sense to assign some specific date to that first event and then calculate the other dates based on that, on the idea that a timeline saying "March 1st, March 2nd, March 9th, March 12th" makes things easier to keep track of than one saying "Sometime very early in March, then the next day, then a week later, then three days after that". Most of the arbitrarily-assigned dates are taken from the airdates of the GT episodes showing those events, which worked almost disturbingly well. The specific days of the week for things in the RR Army arc is taken from Bulma saying “tomorrow’s Sunday” when she decides to tag along with Goku to find the next dragonball. In Viz, Bulma’s line is changed so that she says tomorrow is Saturday. Anyone want to figure out what the days of the week for all the other events in the series would be, based on this?... This whole thing is still a work in progress, so give me any suggestions you have. Over 100 million years ago: Kaio’s planet is confirmed to have existed. Circa 75 million years ago: The Elder Kaioshin (the Kaioshin of 15 generations ago) is sealed into the Z Sword by a powerful evil being (perhaps a Makaioshin?). [D] Circa 5 million years ago: The wizard Bibidi creates Majin Boo. Several years later, hundreds of planets have been destroyed by Boo. Out of the 5 Kaioshin, 4 are killed or absorbed by Boo. The wizard Bibidi carries the ball which Boo is sealed in to Earth. The East Kaioshin defeats Bibidi. Boo’s ball is left as it is on Earth. [D] Tens of thousands of years ago: Annin (Taijourou-kun) begins managing the Furnace of Eight Divinations, placed at the Mountain of Five Elements which serves as the boundary between this world and the afterlife. [A] Circa 6,233 Before Age: The hero Migoren fights bravely with an evil alien. [A] 4,237 Before Age: The Demon Clan who are the ancestors of Garlic Jr. and his men immigrate from Planet Makyo to Earth. [A] Circa 2,733 Before Age: The hero Sarte protects his home planet from a meteor impact. [A] 739 Before Age: Jadoushin became the Serpent Princess and set up along the Serpent Road. [A] Circa 239 Before Age: The appearance of the Super Saiyan, considered a legend among the Saiyans. He made the universe tremble with destruction and slaughter. 237 Before Age: Umigame is born. [A] Circa 226 Before Age: The heroes Tapion and Minoshia seal up the two halves of the phantom majin Hildegarn. [M] 50 Before Age: Mummy-kun is born [D]. Karin is also born sometime in this era. Age 176: Dracula Man is born. [D] Circa Age 250: Uranai Baba begins divining. [A] Age 261 --A weather anomaly occurs on Planet Namek, and the child of Katattsu escapes. He crash lands on Earth. --Enma Daio goes to Kaio’s planet along the Serpent Road. At this time he meets the Serpent Princess, who lived midway along the road, and she falls in love with him. [A] Age 430: Kame-sennin is born [D] Age 431: The child of Katattsu begins being pupil of the Earth’s Kami. [D] Age 448: In the middle of his training under Mutaito, Kame-sennin (age 18) falls in love with Fan-Fan. [A] Circa Age 450-453: Kame-sennin scales Karin Tower and spends three years there before finally managing to steal the Super Holy Water from Karin. Age 459: Tao Pai Pai is born [D] Age 461: Garlic of the Demon Clan rises up against Kami, but is defeated [M/A]. The child of Katattsu becomes the Earth’s Kami. At the same time, Piccolo Daimao is born from the evil heart the child of Katttsu detached from himself. Mutaito seals Piccolo Daimao in an electric rice cooker with the Mafuuba, and dies. Age 470: Shenlong is created by Kami [D] Age 474: Dabura has an underling investigate the Earth. Circa Age 550: The primitive Saiyans drift to Planet Plant on a mysterious spaceship [A/D] Age 553: Kame-sennin begins his collection of dirty magazines around this time [D] Circa Age 650: Kame-sennin picks up the 3-star ball from the bottom of the sea. Age 650 May 7th: The first Tenkaichi Budoukai opens Age 658: Grandpa Son Gohan is born [D] Age 662: The Earth’s god talks about his personal history to Mister Popo. Circa Age 681: The Excavation Robot is buried in a cave-in out in the desert [A] Age 698: Toninjinka is born [D] Age 710: King Chapa is born [D]. The 13th Tenkaichi Budoukai is held, and Kame-sennin is the champion [M]. Age 712: Nappa is born around this time (born in 703 at the earliest, this year at the latest) [D]. Dr. Uiro and his laboratory are buried in ice [M]. Age 715: Pilaf the Great and Sergeant Major Murasaki of the Red Ribbon Army are born [D] Age 717: Giran is born [D] Age 719: Man-Wolf is born [D] Circa Age 720~730: On Planet Plant, the Saiyans unite and start a revolt. They rush into all-out war with the Tsuru. The Saiyans overwhelm the Tsuru. The Tsuru scientist Dr. Raichi dies, and the Saiyan extermination weapon, Hatred Amplification Device Hatchi-Hyakku is launched into space. Cornered, the Tsufuru use their remaining scientific power to develop a parasitic life-form (later to be known as Baby). The Tsuru are then wiped out. The Saiyans take complete control of Planet Plant, and change its name to Planet Vegeta. At the same time, they absorb Tsuru technology, such as the scouter. The Saiyans begin setting out into space, and hit upon the idea of having other aliens sponsor their wars [A/D/GT] Age 721: Namu is born [D] Age 722: Senbee Norimaki and General Blue of the Red Ribbon Army are born [D] Age 726: Ran-Fan is born [D] Age 727: Midori Norimaki is born [D]
